Organizational Role

Director ICT is the Head of Office of the Information and Communication Technology Directorate under HQs MIST. He is the Chief Innovation Officer of MIST to the Ministry of Defense and forms part of the senior leadership team of MIST. He champions and transforms ICT activities of MIST with his visionary and strategic approaches. He motivates and inspires large and diverse teams, developing a culture that exemplifies a commitment to operational excellence and superior client service. He has an excellent way with people and knows how to build strategic and meaningful relationships with a variety of stakeholders. He makes transformational difference, igniting a passion for technology that will elevate the teaching, learning and research at MIST.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement MIST’s overall IT strategy, working with and reporting to the Commandant.
  • Establish a culture of customer service that is responsive to clients’ needs and enhances their user experience to a level of excellence.
  • Create MIST’s IT governance structure – policies and standards – for the overall IT architecture and the acquisition, implementation and operation of ICT systems.
